DMS completed the installation of a 1 MW natural gas-driven combined heat and power (CHP) plant at the existing Bluewater Health Hospital campus. The project consisted of the installation of one 1 MW containerized generator set, heat exchangers, pumps, make-up air units, and other mechanical equipment. The work included critical connections to the existing hospital systems, requiring careful coordination to maintain operations throughout construction.
Our scope included all process piping, millwrighting and rigging, and fabrication. Piping systems were installed to CSA B51, ASME B31.1, and B31.3 in accordance with TSSA regulations. All equipment was installed at the existing penthouse and roof level, requiring multiple crane lifts over the course of construction. Through detailed planning and coordinated execution in a live hospital environment, DMS delivered a safe, reliable, and code-compliant cogeneration facility.
